Job Overview :

The Governance Analyst is a seasoned professional role. The position is with the Citi Technology Infrastructure (CTI) Function Project Management Organization (PMO) .

The position is involved with providing guidance with Governance related activities with CTI engineering community.

In addition to working with the CTI engineering community, the role is involved with the Engineering Technology Life Cycle (ETLC) Procedures, risk appetite for the engineering Book of Work, ETLC communications and training, as well as with Jira - the primary tool leveraged for ETLC work efforts.

This position requires a highly logical thinker with the ability to manage details, who can work collaboratively with others. Familiarity with engineering work efforts, project governance, and/or agile project management is critical. This position provides exceptional opportunities to gain critical work experiences and to develop one's professional network.

Contributes to development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and control Engineering Technology Development Life Cycle Book of Work so that standards are met

  • Ensure ETLC controls are effective

  • Measure and report ETLC Manager Control Assessment (MCA)

  • Address and escalate issues of ETLC non-compliance and course correction

  • Process oversight on procedural and execution aspects

  • Procedures expert that provides guidance to engineers and Group Engineering Leads (GELs)

  • Support audit requests for information relative to ETLC work efforts

  • Monitor ETLC quality assurance

  • Develop and provide ETLC communications and training

  • Provide guidance on agile ceremonies, practices, and processes

Qualifications:

  • 5 plus years experience in an IT project leadership role with commensurate people management experience.

Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
